Workers use solar lamps to collect newly baked bricks. Solar lights allow them to work in cooler temperatures and relatively safer conditions. The finished bricks are arranged in Amit Brickfield located in Saipur, India. Over the last decade India has made an aggressive push to provide electricity access to its citizens, with over 99% having grid access in 2019. That number, however, is expected to drop sharply following the impact of the pandemic and access for most of Northeastern India is less than 18 hours a day.
